Ernest S. Ronaghan, 65, of Derry, NH, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 at his residence surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer. He was born on April 7, 1959 in Boston, MA, a son of the late Ernest and Marjorie (Simpson) Ronaghan. He had been a resident of Derry for the past 28 years, formerly living in North Reading, MA.
Ernest was employed by Northeast Electric for 25 years. He enjoyed camping and traveling, especially his seasonal site at Riverbrook and cruising. He loved the New England Patriots. His favorite activity was spending time with family and loved ones.
Ernest is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Barbara Ronaghan; son, Christopher Ronaghan of Derry; daughter, Monica Belletete and her husband Matthew of Wilmington; grandchildren, Anya, Amelia, Grant, and Vivienne; brother of Barbara Laramee, Beverly Moore, Daniel Ronaghan, and Mary Ronaghan. He was predeceased by brother Gary Ronaghan. He was a loving brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Friday, May 31st, from 8:30AM to 10:45AM with a service to follow in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choosing.
