Bruce M Carroll, 71 years old from Abington, Massachusetts passed away in Beth Israel Hospital after a brief illness, on the morning of Friday, May 24th.
Born in Boston during the summer of 1952, raised in Abington, he graduated from Abington High in 1971 and attended Cape Cod Community College. Bruce served in the United States Army for 2 years as a Security Specialist. He worked at Sigma Instruments in Braintree for 25 years where he met his loving wife, Jean, whom he has been married to for 30 years. He retired from working after 5 years as a Quality Inspector at Symmons Industries in Braintree.
Bruce was the son of Robert E Carroll and Margaret J Clougherty(Carroll). Brother of Robert J Carroll and Brian T Carroll. Brother-in-law to Jean Carroll, Patricia Carroll, and Barbara Carroll. Loving Uncle to Thomas and Jen Carroll, Kaitlyn and Ryan Sanna. Bruce was a loving Husband to Jean Sanna-Carroll and a loving father to Robert B Carroll.
He was an avid music lover, always playing his favorite records when he could, a dedicated sports fan, keeping up with scores and watching games, and always a friend to animals, having raised multiple dogs throughout his life.
Visting hours will be Wednesday May 29th from 4-7pm at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Whitman, RTE 58 at the rotary circle. Thursday the 30th there will be a funeral service at the Chapel 10AM, followed by a burial at Mt Vernon Cemetery, Abington.
