Obituary

Robert Leland Bartlett, 84, of Medway died peacefully on May 25th at Vantage Health & Rehabilitation in Milford after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Ellen L. (Phillips) Bartlett for the past 57 years.

Born in Framingham on June 2, 1939, he was the son of the late Chesley Bartlett of Newfoundland, Canada, and of Olive (Buddle) Bartlett of Nova Scotia, Canada.

He was a graduate of Framingham South High School, Class of 1957.

Robert had worked as a stockman for the Chrysler Motor Corporation for 35 years before retiring.

Robert had coached M.A.B.A basketball in Medway for many years and was an avid fan of all New England sports teams.

He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Airman Second Class.

He, along with his wife, enjoyed traveling to The South. Two of his favorite destinations were the Florida Keys and South Carolina.

He is predeceased in death by his sister, Edith Beers, and his brother Chesley “Sonny” Bartlett.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Paul Bartlett and his wife Victoria of Franklin, Matthew Bartlett and his wife Danielle of Blackstone, and Courtney Huffaker and her husband Randy of Millville.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Thomas, Lauren, Christopher, Madison, Lacey, and Bryson, along with three nieces and two nephews.

Throughout his life, he was known by many names including Robert, Robby, Bob, Grandpa and Papa.

Funeral service will be held in the Ginley Funeral Home of FRANKLIN (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, FRANKLIN on May 31st, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Medway.

Calling hours will be on THURSDAY, May 30th at the Ginley Funeral Home of FRANKLIN, 131 Main Street. Franklin from 5-8 p.m.
