Maxie Morris Spradley, 63, of Tifton, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Randall Gay will officate with a private burial to be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, 2006, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Spradley was born on October 8, 1942 in Tift County and was the son of the late Elijah Daniel Spradley and Elizabeth Hayman Spradley Bishop of Tifton. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard Dan Spradley and Warren Ted Spradley, Sr. He was a lifetime resident of Tifton, a contractor and owner of Spradley Construction Company until he became disabled.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Spradley is survived by two sons, Michael Morris Spradley of Tifton and Heath Allen Spradley of Nashville; two brothers, David Bishop of Tifton and Charles Bishop of Florida; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Harvey Hatcher of Tifton, Grace and Aaron Messer of Sylacauga, Alabama, Mae Jo and Charles Cassell of Tifton and Beth and Vaughn Tucker of Tifton; and three grandchildren, Amber Spradley, Brock Spradley and Kenzie Spradley.
