Virginia S. Bunuan, 88, formerly of West Roxbury, Massachusetts passed away on November 16, 2023. Loving wife of 53 years to the late Pablo S. Bunuan. Beloved mother of Jocelyn (Paul) O'Keefe, Joyce (Jon) Merz, and Joanne (Jonathan) Biag. Devoted grandmother of Kiley O'Keefe, Jack and Will Merz, and Allyn, Dean and Dylan Biag.
Virginia along with her husband, Pablo, immigrated from the Philippines in1969. They raised their three daughters in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. For over 20 years, Virginia opened her home to young families seeking at home daycare. All her daycare children and parents were like her own family, even sending them home at the end of the workday with a home cooked meal.
Her favorite thing was surrounding herself with her family, friends, and good food. Virginia enjoyed the fall seasons in New England, shopping at Filene’s Basement and watching her grandchildren grow.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Virginia on Friday, June 7, 2024. The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre Street, West Roxbury, Massachusetts at 11am. Interment will take place at The Gardens Cemetery Gethsemane, 670 Baker Street, West Roxbury, Massachusetts. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
