Salem: Harold B. Withrow, Sr., age 86 of Salem, died Monday morning at the NSMC Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Mary Rita (Breagy) Withrow.
Born and raised in Peabody, he was the son of the late Henry and Stella (Winchester) Withrow. He was employed by the A.C. Lawrence Leather Co. of Peabody form 1939 until his retirement in the mid 1960’s. Following his retirement, he worked part time for Northshore Patrol Security at the North Shore Mall for several years.
A resident of Salem since 1967, Mr. Withrow was a member of the Saugus B.P.O.E. (Elks), Salem Council on Aging, the Palmer Cove Yacht Club and St. James Parish both of Salem.
He is survived by a son: Harold B. Withrow, Jr. and his fiancée Carole Feeney of Woburn, 3 daughters: Judith A. Pelosi and her husband John J. Pelosi, Sr. of Salem,, Jane Corneau of West Virginia, Catherine Vasey of Beverly, a sister: Mildred Finley of North Carolina, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Thursday, July 20, 2006, at 8 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., Salem [Rt. 114 / 1-A] followed by his funeral mass in St. James Church, Salem at 9 am.
