Obituary

DUDLEY – Russell E. Tyck, 69, died Wednesday, May 8, 2024 in Harrington Hospital, Southbridge.

He leaves a brother, James J. Tyck and his wife Patricia of Dudley, with whom he lived; a sister Cathy L. Tyck of Southbridge; 2 nieces, Heather and Nicole Tyck; a nephew, Joshua Tyck; great-niece, Talia; and 2 great-nephews, Liam and Rowan.

He was born in Webster on October 2, 1954, a son of Ernest S. and Anna M. (Santagata) Tyck and lived in Webster and Dudley for all of his life.

Russell was a vibrant soul, full of life and love for all that had the privilege of knowing him. He didn’t just live for happiness but the happiness of others, leaving an indelible impression for those who called him brother and uncle and the many lives he has touched.

Russell was a huge fan of Elvis Presley, from collecting to simply singing and dancing to his songs. He also found enjoyment in watching wrestling and old TV shows.

Russell had a strong faith, always carrying God in his heart and was known for his many prayers for others.
Most of all he loved being with family, especially when he would say “All together”; Russell cherished those moments.

There will always be less happiness in the world without Russell in it. He will be missed for his many stories, his contagious smile and his genuinely pure kindness. Russell’s passing has left an enormous hole in the lives of those who loved him. It brings comfort to know he is with his Mother whom he missed with all his heart.

A private graveside service will be at the convivence of the family. In lieu of flowers, offer an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness in Russell’s name. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
