DUDLEY – Dorothy J. “Dot” Wawrzyniak, 100, died Tuesday, May 14, 2024 in UMass Harrington Southbridge after a short illness.
She leaves a son, Paul Bardwell and his wife Yolanta of Las Cruces, NM; and her cousins and caregivers, Donald and Jeannette Kasierski; and many friends.
She was born on June 28, 1923 in Webster, the daughter of Lawrence S. and Julia R. (Kasierski) Wawrzyniak and lived there most of her life before moving to Dudley in 2018.
Miss Wawrzyniak was a folder at the former Bates Shoe Company for many years before retiring.
Dot was a lifelong member of Saint Joseph Basilica in Webster. In the last 5 years she attended Saint Anthony of Padua Church.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 22, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road, Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home on Wednesday, prior to the Mass. Donations in her name may be made either to St. Joseph School Fund, 47 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
