Virginia E. DeLisle, 82, of Derry, NH, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 in the Haven Health Center in Derry. Mrs. DeLisle was born in Manchester, NH on May 25, 1924, a daughter of the late John W. and Florence (Arlin) Small. She was a recent resident of Derry, formerly living in Hampstead, NH for 50 years, and Groveland, MA. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Walking Group of Hampstead and was a volunteer with the Hampstead Senior Citizens. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred L. DeLisle of Derry, one son, Alfred J. DeLisle and his wife Thyra of East Hampstead, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several siblings, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Newell.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
