Obituary

DUDLEY – Agnes J. (Tivnan) Cushing, age 102, died Monday, July 17, in Oakwood Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Webster. Her husband of 45 years, Alfred Cushing, Sr., died in 1973.

She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Hugh A. Cushing and his wife Catherine S. of Dudley; 4 grandchildren, Timothy J. Cushing, Scott A. Cushing and Michael D. Cushing, all of Dudley, and Sarah A. Lloyd of Maryland; 4 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Alfred Cushing, Jr., in 1930 and a daughter, Kathleen A. Bugher in 2004.

She was born in Mattapan, one of the nine children of Michael J. and Ellen M. (Devine) Tivnan. She lived in Weymouth, North Palm Beach and Dudley.

Mrs. Cushing was a homemaker.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 20, in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., Webster. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster. A calling period will be from 10:00 AM to the time of the service Thursday, July 20, in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to either Food Share, Inc., c/o United Church of Christ, Federated, 4 Church St., Webster, MA, or to St. Mary’s Memorial Fund, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge, MA 01550
