Mary (Motto) Robertson, a Wellesley resident for over 40 years, passed away on July 17th at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. She was 75.
Mrs. Robertson was born in Cleveland, OH in 1931. She was the daughter of the late Dr’s Paul and Helen Motto. She was a graduate of Walnut Hill School in Natick and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from Barnard College in New York in 1953 and her Master’s Degree form Columbia University in New York in 1955. After graduation from college, Mary was employed with IBM in New York.
In 1962 Mary and her family made Wellesley their home. Mary was very active in her community and was a member of the Wellesley Arts and Crafts Guild for the past 25 years. Mary was always surrounded by many of her family and friends.
She leaves behind her son Paul and his wife Louise of West Roxbury and her daughter Ann of Wellesley.
Her funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington Street, Wellesley, on Friday at 9:00 AM. Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church, Natick, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
