Obituary

Hank Borba, 58, of Dartmouth, was called home to be with Our Lord on Tuesday, July 11, 2006.
To have known Hank was to have known a most peaceful, humble and compassionate gentleman. He was an extremely devoted Christian husband and father, deeply cherishing his relationship with his two daughters.
As a talented and gifted builder and owner of Tamarack Builders, Hank specialized in custom homes, renovations and construction management. His most recent project was the renovation of the Gulf Hill Dairy barn in Dartmouth. He had a great appreciation for nature and especially enjoyed spending summers on his boat, Wandering Star.
Hank served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1969-1970 and was stationed in Korea.
His strong faith and commitment to the Lord allowed him to be a powerful vessel through which God worked to deeply touch the lives of all who were blessed to have been in his presence.
His loving family includes his wife and love, Amy (Zielinski) Borba; his mother, Emily (Borges) Borba of Dartmouth; his daughters, Hilary and Vanessa Borba, and their mother, Betsy Szel, all of Westport; his sisters, Gerry Hawes of Bolton and Dee Borba-Jenkins, and her husband Peter Jenkins, of Rhode Island; his brothers, Paul Borba and Anthony Borba, and his wife Patty, all of Arizona, and Luciano Martinho, and his wife Tatyana, of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Frank Borba.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Hank's life on Saturday July 29, 2006 at 4 PM in St. Peter's Episcopal Church. A private family committal service will be held in Cushing Cemetery, Mattapoisett. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a project close to Hank's heart, the St. Peter's Renovation Fund, 351 Elm St., Dartmouth, MA 02748.
