Aaron Wallace Driskel, 60 of Tifton passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2002, at his residence. His funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 31, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Brantley Seymour and the Rev. Larry Layfield officiating. Mr. Driskell was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Byrd Simmons, Isaac Whitley, Ben Batten, Allen Tanner, Coy Tawzer and Ronnie Batten served as pallbearers.
Born May 12, 1942, in Irwin County, Mr. Driskell was the son of Floell Banks Driskell of Tifton and the late Dawson Wallace Driskell. Before retiring, he was a parts manager in the agriculture industry; and he was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Tifton. He had lived in Tift County most of his life.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Driskell is survived by his wife, Patricia Graddy Driskell of Tifton; four sons, Mark Driskell of Clarkesville, Tennessee, Paul Driskell of Tifton and Jerry Hayes and Jeffery Hayes, both of Adel; one daughter, Pam Medley of Adel; one brother, Wayne Driskell of Tifton; one sister, Gloria Moyer of Tifton; and five grandchildren.
