June Felton Wagner, 70, of Worcester died Thursday, April 25th at home surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 33 years, Henry F. Wagner, Jr.; two sons, Christopher M. Wagner and his wife, Caitlin of Braintree, and Timothy H. Wagner and his wife, Olivia of Hanover; three brothers, William J. Felton of Franklin, Michael E. Felton of Weymouth, and Edward F. Felton of Chestnut Hill; three sisters, Jean M. McDonald of Bedford, NH, Therese M. Felton and Barbara C. Felton both of Franklin; a grandson, Michael C. Wagner; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Anne Felton.
She was born in Boston, the daughter of Sulwynne and Anne (Sullivan) Felton and graduated from Roslindale High School and Suffolk University. For over 30 years, June worked in the finance field. The career started in public accounting, eventually moving to hospital finance at Holden Rehabilitation Center, Hahnemann Hospital, and UMass Memorial Medical Center. June retired in 2019 from UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Pediatric Administration.
She found immense joy in spending time with her cherished friends, particularly the Dilliare and Nadow families, whose companionship brought warmth and laughter to her days.
Travel was one of June’s greatest pleasures, and she treasured every moment spent exploring new destinations with her beloved family. From enchanting trips to Disney and Hilton Head to thrilling adventures at Red Sox away games and tours of the majestic National Parks out West, June’s adventurous spirit knew no bounds. Among her most cherished memories was the exhilarating experience of driving the Autobahn in Germany, a moment of pure bliss that she held dear.
Though June herself was not involved in sports growing up, she wholeheartedly embraced the role of a sports mom, finding immense pride and joy in cheering on her sons as they pursued their athletic endeavors. The sidelines became her second home, where she reveled in the excitement and camaraderie of each game.
June had a sweet tooth for mint chocolate chip ice cream, and indulging in a scoop brought her pure delight and contentment. But more than any treat, it was the company of her loved ones that truly filled her heart. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing here, but her spirit will forever live on in the countless lives she touched and memories she created.
Calling hours are Tuesday, April 30th from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by her funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial is in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton.
