Obituary

Steven Michael Balba, 63 of Tewksbury, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Lowell General Hospital Main Campus.

He was born on May 9, 1960 in Medford and was a son of the late Katherine (Colbert) Balba and Samuel Balba of Tewksbury. He was raised in Medford, where he attended the area schools graduating from Medford High School.

Steven dedicated many years of his career to serving as a medical software supervisor, starting his journey at Mass General Hospital.

Steven found joy in dining out and exploring new places, with Orlando, FL being a favorite destination. He found solace in the familiar surroundings of Lake Winnipesaukee, a place he visited often with his parents during his childhood and later owned property there. Cooking Thanksgiving dinner for his family was a cherished tradition, providing an opportunity to create lasting memories together. He treasured the moments spent with his grand nephews, cherishing their company and the joy they brought into his life.

In addition to his father, Samuel Balba of Tewksbury, he is survived by his sister, Kim Troisi of Tewksbury; his niece, Kristina Troisi of Tewksbury; his nephew, Justin Troisi and his companion, Melissa Porto of Derry, NH; his grandnephews, John and Joseph Troisi; and many friends.

On Wednesday, May 1, 2024 close friends and family are welcome to attend his visitation from 10-11 a.m. at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, 978-851-2061.
