Obituary

Thomas William "T. W." Conger, 82, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2002, at his residence. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Roe and the Rev. Charles Nichols officiating. Mr. Conger was laid to rest at Salem Memorial Gardens in tifton.

Tommy Conger, Drew Veazey, Ronnie Hornbuckle, Sammy Rogers, Ken Hall Jr. and David Morris served as pallbearers.

Born April 7, 1920, in Worth County, Mr. Conger was the son of the late William Allen Conger and Fannie Kendall Conger. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He was a retired farmer; and he was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in World War II.

Mr. Conger is survived by his wife, Leila Ann White Conger of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Karen Conger of Tifton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Drew Veazey and Tammy and Ronnie Hornbuckle, all of Tifton and Mary and Sammy Rogers of Nashville; three brothers, H. L. Conger of Worth County and L. E. Conger and George Jack Conger, both of Tifton; one sister, Erby Tucker of Worth county; and eleven grandchildren, Charley Rogers, Hailey Conger, Sam Hornbuckle, Jane Anne Veazey, Daniel Conger, Clay Hornbuckle, Max Hornbuckle, Addie Veazey, Jessica Rogers, Heather Rogers and Tonya Hornbuckle.
