Brenda Joyce Ethredge Barnes, 59, of Tifton passed away Thursday, October 24, 2002, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2092, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jon S. Gibbs, Sr. officiating. Mrs. Barnes was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Barnes' nephews served as pallbearers.
Born November 22, 1942, in Baker County, Mrs. Barnes was the daughter of Annie Ruth Kirksey Ethredge of Sylvester and the late Leslie Bartow Ethredge. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by one sister. She was a homemaker; and she was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Barnes is survived by her husband, James Barnes of Tifton; three daught4ers, Wendy Barnes of Chula, Hollie Barnes of Tifton and Theresa Thomas of Ty Ty; one brother, Leslie DeWayne Ethredge of Sylvester; and three grandchildren.
