Lodena McMillan Walker, 77, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2003, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2003, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Roe officiating. Mrs. Walker was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Brett McMillan, Josh McMillan, Rickey Walker, Chris McMillan, Bruce Dillard and Reid Jones served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were the member of the Bible Learners Sunday School Class at Tifton's First Baptist Church.
Born April 21, 1926, in Berrien County, Mrs. Walker was the daughter of the late Tony McMillan and Doma West McMillan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Howard Walker; and one sister. Before retiring, she was a service representative for Southern Bell; and she was an active member of Tifton's First Baptist Church. She was a volunteer with Hospice of Tift Area; a member of the Pioneers (retired Bell South employees); and a member of Ambassadors (retired spouses of Georgia Power Company).
Mrs. Walker is survived by one daughter, Dr. Sandra Walker of Valdosta.
