Louis J. Miceli, 75, of Mansfield formerly of Randolph died on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara A. (Prosser) Miceli to whom he was married to for 30 years at the time of her death on September 23, 2003. He was the former husband of Thelma (White) Miceli of Florida.
Born in Boston, MA on February 6, 1931 he was a son of the late Salvatore and Agnes (Panto) Miceli.
He was educated in Boston schools. He served briefly in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Prior to retiring, he had worked as a Union Carpenter.
He had made his home in Mansfield for the past 15 years and was formerly of Randolph and Florida. In addition to spending time with his family, Louis enjoyed bowling and jig saw puzzles of which his family will remember him as a “master”.
In addition to his former wife, he is survived by his devoted children: Marie J. Briand and her husband Albert of Norton, Diane L. Shurtleff of Florida, Thomas A. Miceli and his wife Cindy of Mashpee and the late James L. Miceli and Carol D. Miceli. His brother Salvatore Miceli of Easton. Also survived by his many loving grandchildren, great grand children and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friend are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday, July 19th at 11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will follow in Mount Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, prior to services beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
