William Frederick "Fred" Spurlin, 42, of Florence, South Carolina passed away Saturday, November 29, 2003, at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence, South Carolina. A graveside funeral service was held for Mr. Spurlin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2003, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he was laid to rest. The Rev. John S. Gibbs, Sr. officiated.
Born February 5, 1961, in Albany, Mr. Spurlin was the son of Quincy Barfield Bryant of Alapaha and the late Henry W. Bryant. He was an electrician; and he was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Spurlin is survived by his wife, Darlene Lydia Spurlin of Florence, South Carolina; two sons, Kyle Spurlin and Justin Spurlin, both of Tifton; one daughter, Amber Peeler of Gaffney, South Carolina; one brother, Jeff Bryant of Alapaha; and two sisters, Debbie Phelps of Ocilla and Susan Stevens of Irwinville.
