Obituary

Barbara Mae Kemmerer Steltzer, 74, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Cory Colravy officiating. Mrs. Steltzer was laid to rest at Salem Memorial Gardens in Tifton.

Malcom Kelly. James Manolatos, Tim Steltzer, Tom Manolatos, Russell Roberts, Ken Bard and Howard Godshall served as pallbearers.

born September 9, 1929, in Germantown, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Steltzer was the daughter of the late Howard Kemmerer, Sr. and Henrietta Barber Kemmerer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Joseph Steltzer, who passed away on February 2, 2000; and one brother, Howard Kemmerer, Jr. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Lake Worth Fellowship OPC Church in Florida and attended New Life Presbyterian Church in Tifton. She was a volunteer at the Carousel House and the Soup Kitchen. She was an applicant to the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the Neighborhood Club. She had lived in Tifton about five years.

Mrs. Steltzer is survived by one son, Timothy Dwight Steltzer of Delaware; two daughters, Elizabeth Bard of Tifton and Rebecca Manolatos of Illinois; six grandchildren, Kenneth Bard, Catherine Roberts, James Manolatos, Jennifer Steltzer, Stephanie Steltzer and Stacey Steltzer; and four great-grandchildren, Kaylie Roberts, Russell Roberts Jr., Matthew Bard and James Dillon Bard.
