Jimmy Sanders, 53, of Tifton passed away Friday, June 13, 2003, at his residence. A memorial service was held for Mr. Sanders at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2003, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Frank Morris officiating. Mr. Sanders was laid to rest at a later date.
Born July 14, 1949, in Worth County, Mr. Sanders was the son of Roberta Simpson Sanders of Polk City, Florida and the late Hensley Payne Sanders, Jr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Gayle Sanders Warren. He was employed with Omega Farm Supply as a farm helper.
Mr. Sanders is survived by four brothers, Robert Sanders of Mulberry, Florida, Eugene Sanders of Starke, Florida, David Bruce Sanders of Polk City, Florida and Thomas J. Sanders of Lakeland, Florida; four sisters, Margie A. Cole of Polk City, Florida, Rosie M. Campbell of Moultrie, Benita J. Rodriguez of Tampa, Florida and Betty L. Holder of Washington; and six grandchildren.
