Marlborough - Patricia McKeown, 80, passed away on April 16, 2024 in Marlborough, MA.
Born in Boston, MA, on May 16, 1943, Patricia was well-known for her charisma and intelligence. She was a talented dancer throughout her life and an occasional stage actor who could light up any room. Her professional journey included retail management for the US Navy and later as a receptionist during her retirement years. Patricia would say her greatest accomplishment was raising her two sons while pouring herself out for them to ensure they accomplished meaningful things in life. She was also actively involved in Christian ministries, most recently as a member of Global Vision Bible Church outside Nashville where she served on the editorial team for Global Vision Press and Locke Media, aiding in the publication of a series of best-selling books by Pastor Greg Locke.
Patricia was the beloved widow of Francis Donald McKeown, a career US Marine, and had been previously married to Rolando S. Caparas, a career Sailor in the US Navy. She lived most of her years in Charleston, SC, but most recently lived in Nashville, TN and previously lived in New Orleans, LA, Honolulu, HI, and Cocoa Beach, FL. Patricia grew up in Boston's West End, where she was affectionately known as "Patty Girl."
She is survived by her sister, Simone "Bootsie" Imperato, her sons Rally Caparas and Wayne Caparas, daughter-in-law Lori Caparas, three stepsons, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her mother Emma Doucett, father Martin Victor Doucett, and sisters Felice Onessimo and Denise "DeDe" Clements. Her family celebrates the fact that she is now in the arms of Jesus. She is forever loved and dearly missed.
