Agnes Wilson Roberson, 88, of Tifton passed away Thursday, November 13, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service was held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 003, at Chula's First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Eidson officiating. Mrs. Roberson was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Terrell Roberson, Sid Roberson. Jamie Roberson, Brian Roberson, Justin Roberson and Thom Roberson served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Ladies III Sunday School Class of Chula's First Baptist Church and Winfred Roberson and Gary Rice.
Born July 3, 1915, in Turner County, Mrs. Roberson was the daughter of the late William Earl Wilson and Gladys Daniel Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Roberson, who passed away in 1965; two sons, Wendell Roberson and Jimmy Roberson; one brothers, Hugh Wilson; and one sister, Faye Whiddon. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Chula's First Baptist Church. She was a wonderful, hard-working lady, who was much loved by family and friends. She looked for the best in everyone and she loved cooking and gardening.
Mrs. Roberson is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mickey and Millie Roberson of Tifton; two daughters-in-law, Janis Roberson and Annette Roberson, both of Tifton; one brother, James Earl Wilson of Montgomery, Alabama; two sisters, Mildred Kilcrease, Ashburn and Rubye Odom of Sycamore; four grandsons, Terrell Roberson, Sid Roberson, Jamie Roberson and Brian Roberson; and eight great-grandchildren, Justin Roberson, Lacy Roberson, Jacob Roberson, Syndee Roberson, Thom Roberson, Scott Roberson, Casy Roberson, Haley Roberson and Josh Roberson.
