Obituary

Mrs. Marguerite Gertrude “Gert” (Alarie) Beaulieu, 97, of Dracut, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Bayberry at Emerald Court in Tewksbury, MA. Daughter of the late Charles and Regina (Tessier) Alarie, she was born in Lawrence on November 23, 1926, and had been an area resident for most of her life. In 2003, she and her sister Jeanette moved to Carlsbad, CA where they resided for many years. Mrs. Beaulieu moved back to the area in 2017, was a member of the former St. Anne Parish where she and her husband Paul volunteered until the church closed in 1991. Additionally, she and her husband volunteered many years at Lazarus House Ministries in Lawrence. She enjoyed bingo, gambling, was an avid reader and loved to spend time with her family. The widow of Paul E. Beaulieu, she was also predeceased by her daughter Pamela (Beaulieu) Arrigo, sister Jeanette (Alarie) Cappellano, and brother William “Butch” Alarie. Mrs. Beaulieu is survived by two daughters: Patricia and her husband Joseph Schindler of Plymouth, MA, Christine and her husband Parker Lord of N. Reading, MA, three grandchildren: Aaron Schindler, Nathan Schindler, and Hannah Lord, one great-grandchild Leah Schindler and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday April 26, 2024, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd., Dracut. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am and burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence. Online condolences may be shared at www.racicotfuneralhome.com
