Orlando P. DiCenso, a long-time Revere resident, died Friday at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center. He was 74.
Orlando was born and raised in Sulmona, Italy, the son of the late Alessandro and the late Sestina (Volpe) DiCenso.
Orlando and his family came to the United States over forty years ago. They lived in the North End of Boston for five years before settling in Revere. Orlando worked as a construction laborer and mason with Local 22.
He was the beloved husband of the late Rosa (Susi). He was the devoted father of Tina Di Iorio of Peabody, Danny DiCenso of Revere, Frederick DiCenso of Wilmington and Sandra Sullivan of Revere. He was a loving grandfather of Adriana, Robert, Angelo, Christina and Bianca. He was the dear brother of Antonio DiCenso, Rafaello DiCenso, Carlo DiCenso all of Australia and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Of Padua Church, 250 Revere St., Revere, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 5 - 9. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Community Mausoleum.
