Travis Laddie Patterson, 88, of Ty Ty passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at his residence. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2003, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. John S. Gibbs, Sr. officiating. Mrs. Patterson was laid to rest at Leila United Methodist Church Cemetery in Omega.
Mr. Patterson's grandsons served as pallbearers.
Born April 5, 1915, in Worth County, Mr. Patterson was the son of the late Oliver S. Patterson, Sr. and Cleamae Shivers Patterson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Florence Opal Hamm Patterson; and two brothers. He was a retired farmer; and he was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Patterson is survived by three sons, Don Patterson of Norman Park, Doyle Patterson of Guntersville, Alabama and Travis Elton Patterson of Davenport, Florida; two daughters, Geraldine Conde of Lehigh Acres, Florida and Opal Patterson of Ty Ty; two brothers, Oliver S. Patterson, Jr. of Ty Ty and Claude Patterson of Sumner; one sister, Cora Belle Patterson of Ty Ty; 27 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
