Dorothy Nell Dotson Luke, 72, of Tifton passed away Saturday, January 11, 2003, at her residence. A graveside funeral service was held for Mrs. Luke at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2003, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where she was laid to rest. The Rev. Donnie Sloan officiated.
Born November 9, 1930, in Derrine (Dunlin County), Missouri, Mrs. Luke was the daughter of the late George T. Dotson and Minnie Pendley Dotson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Luke; and one sister, Ruby Casey. She retired from the mobile home industry; and she was a homemaker. She was of the Holiness Baptist faith.
Mrs. Luke is survived by one son. James Lewis Luke of Tifton; two daughters, Wanda Sue Bruner and Brenda Joyce Smith, both of Tifton; one brother, William Dotson of Tifton; two sisters, Ruth Hyde and Irene Hale, both of Tifton; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
