Walter Eugene Hill, 47, of Tifton passed away Friday, October 24, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2003, at Union Grove Church of God in Eldorado with the Rev. H. T. Dorman, the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley, the Rev. Keith Sellers, the Rev. Denise Percival and the Rev. Dr. J. Martin Taylor officiating. Mrs. Hill was laid to rest at Union Grove Church of God Cemetery in Eldorado.
Michael Williams, Jimy Dickerson, Gary Rice, Junior Horton, Danny Edwards, Joe Crumley, Tommy Howell, Lowell Rice and Richard Webb served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Williams, Lindsey Hill, Larry Spires, Jackie Crumley, Jerry Crumley, Randall Moore, Kenneth Moore, Bill Turnmire, Wayne Sumner, Melvin Hill, former and present employees of Tift County EMS, Lance Golden, Jason Golden, Milton Parrish, Travis Ellington and the member of the Sanctuary Sunday School Class at Union Grove Church of God in Eldorado.
Bron April 11, 1956, in Tift County, Mr. Hill was the son of Linda Golden Hill of Eldorado and the late Charles Eugene Hill. He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, the Rev. Elmer E. Golden, Sr.; his paternal grandparents, George and Rosa Hill; and one brother, Michael Lance Hill.
A former Emergency Medical Technician for 18 years, Mr. Hill was also a farmer; and he was an active member of Union Grove Church of God in Eldorado, where he served as a sound technician and a cook. Mr. Hill was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Hill is survived by his wife, Eudine Golden Hill of Eldorado; one son and daughter-in-law, Walter Shane and Gina Hill; one daughter and son-in-law, Katianne and Chad Robinson of Eldorado; three grandchildren, Hallie Anne Robinson, Noah Shane Hill and Seth Thomas Hill, all of Eldorado; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlene ad Bob Scott of Leamington, Ontario and Denise and Kyle Percival of Tifton; two brothers-in-law, Lance Golden and Jason Golden, both of Eldorado; his father-in-law, Pleamon Golden of Eldorado; three nieces, Jessica Sumner Powell of Omega and Mehal Riley Percival and Kyla Ashlee Percival, both of Tifton; and one nephew, Justin Eugene Sumner of Eldorado.
