Gary Perry Harris, 62, of Tifton passed away Monday, January 27, 2003, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2003, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Donnie Sloan officiating. Mr. Harris was laid to rest at Lenox Cemetery.
Jason Guess, Lamar Frazier, Dennis Carter, David Gibbs, Randall Courtoy and Michael Moore served as pallbearers.
Born March 5, 1940, in Berrien County, Mr. Harris was the son of the late Shelton Harris and Carrie DeLoach Harris. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Harris. Before retiring, he was a lab technician with the Georgia Department of Transportation; and he was of the Holiness faith.
Mr. Harris is survived by his wife, Patricia Beverly Harris of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Kitty and Ashley Harmon of Columbia, South Carolina; two brothers, Robert Harris and Donald Harris, both of Enigma; one sister, Betty Jean Harris Turner of Enigma; and one granddaughter, Skylar Harmon.
