Obituary

Frances Ann Kuchinski (O’Hare), 83, formerly of Tewksbury, MA passed away peacefully on the evening of Friday, April 12, 2024, with family by her side.

Frances (Fran) was born on February 2, 1941, to Joseph and Florence (Hanley) O’Hare.

She grew up in Cambridge, MA, graduating from North Cambridge Catholic in 1959.

On October 15, 1960, Frances married the love of her life, John (Jack) Kuchinski, at St. John the Evangelist Church in Cambridge.

Together they had 4 children and enjoyed 50 years of marriage, prior to Jack’s passing in 2011.

Fran’s love of carnation flowers is what brought her and Jack to choose Tewksbury, MA as the place they wanted to raise their family, as it is the Carnation Capitol of the World.

Fran could often be seen around Tewksbury in her large Suburban truck bringing her kids to their many activities and sports events.

She volunteered at her children's school, St. Augustine’s in Andover, in many different capacities but most memorably as a cafeteria monitor where she would often be seen making school staff and kids laugh at her witty sense of humor.

Their house on Mohawk Drive in Tewksbury was a gathering place for large family parties and for neighborhood kids coming to roller skate in the driveway, swim in their pool, and watch TV on the large screen TV in the family’s ‘game room’.

She was an amazing dancer and her children loved watching her and their father gliding around the dance floor at all family functions.

Frances is predeceased by her beloved husband, Jack, her parents, Joseph and Florence O’Hare.

She is survived by her 4 children and their families, daughter Amy Mace (husband Dean) of Newton, NH; sons John/JD Kuchinski (wife Monica Lee) of Palo Alto, CA, Kevin Kuchinski (wife Amy Meadows) of Leander, TX and daughter Elizabeth Kuchinski (husband Kevin Harvey) of Rochester, NH. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Kiersten (Kiki) and Jack Mace, Mercury Kuchinski and Keely Meadows, and Colton and Ciaran Kuchinski.

Services are private.
