Howard "Melvin" Hall, 79, of Tifton passed away Thursday, January 2, 2003, at his residence. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2003, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Eddie Allen officiating. Mr. Hall was laid to rest at Old Ty Ty Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton.
Mrs. Hall's grandson and friends served as pallbearers.
Born May 23, 1923, in Tift County, Mr. Hall was the son of the late William Martin Hall and Linnie Jane Shell Hall. He was a retired meat cutter; and he was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Hall is survived by one son, Timothy Wayne Hall of Tifton; two daughters, Melba Jean McKinney of Enigma and Connie Lynn Hayes of Albany; one brother, Irvin Hall of Tifton; one sister, Edna Mae Jackson of Brookfield; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
