Obituary

LOWELL—Adrienne (DeSmet) Perry, 100 years old, a longtime resident of Lowell, died early Saturday morning, July 15th, at the Fairhaven Nursing Home.

She was born in Belgium, on June 23, 1906, a daughter of the late Polydore and Marie (LeBoef) DeSmet, and came to the United States at the age of 13. She graduated from the Lowell Public School System. In her younger years, Mrs. Perry worked as a Mill Girl at the Merrimack Mills. She was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, and enjoyed crocheting

Surviving her are four daughters and two sons-in-law: Irene Nuttall, of Lowell; Anna and Carmen Aufiero, of Lowell; Helen Desrosiers, of Tyngsboro, and Lillian and Armand Lemire, of Lowell; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Ernest Perry, Jr., of Lowell; and Edmund P., and Virginia Perry, of Orlando, FL; 16 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Jules and Joseph DeSmet.

Friends may call on Monday, July 17th, from 4 to 8 PM, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered Tuesday, July 18th, at 9:30 AM at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, ST. MARIE’S CHURCH. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
