Obituary

CHICOPEE – Diane J. (Tremblay) Gallagher, 55, of Chicopee Falls, was Called Safely Home on Friday, April 5, 2024. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on May 1, 1968, a beloved daughter of Jeannine T. (Chauvin) Tremblay of Granby and the late Robert J. Tremblay. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School, received her associate’s degree from Holyoke Community College, and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. She was a Bookkeeper at Industrial Steel and Boiler Company in Chicopee. Diane enjoyed attending concerts but most of all, going to the beach, especially, Vero Beach in Florida, where she would swim and collect many seashells. She was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church and was previously a communicant of Saint Patrick Church, both in Chicopee. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She leaves her loving husband and best friend, Michael F. Gallagher. They were married on June 9, 1990 at the former Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee and they were blessed with over 33 years of happiness together. Besides her husband and mother, she also leaves her two loving sons, Steven M. Gallagher and Kevin J. Gallagher, both of Chicopee; her dear brother, Rick P. Tremblay and his wife, Debbie, of North Troy, VT; her dear twin sister, Joanne C. Sowa and her husband, Paul, of Granby; her dear mother in law, Mary C. (Griffin) Gallagher of Longmeadow; her dear sister in law, Jo-Ann Gallagher-Dowd of Enfield, CT; her two dear brothers in law, Paul J. Gallagher of Gardner and Brian M. Gallagher and his wife, Elizabeth, of Wilbraham; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her beloved sister, Terry Tetreault; and her dear father in law, Michael J. Gallagher. Her Funeral and Burial will be private.
