Obituary

Paul Albert Good, Esq., 86, July 12. Born in Cambridge, graduated from Boston College and was awarded a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School. As undergraduate, Paul served as president of the Dramatic Society and was active in Boston theater, radio and TV during his law school days.

Paul was an active member of his parish, St. Agnes and his community of Reading. He served as president of the St. Agnes Lambs, chaired the school building committee, led numerous St. Agnes Youth groups, coached the Red Sox Little League team for many years, served as secretary then chaired the Reading Democratic Town Committee and was a delegate to the 1964 Democratic State Convention.

During the 1960s' and 1970s, Paul served not only as Town Counsel to Reading, Stoneham and to Burlington, but to the Middlesex County Police Association. Paul was appointed in 1969 to the Boston State Court of Appeals and in 1971, was appointed to serve as First Assistant Attorney General during the administration of Robert Quinn, Attorney General of Massachusetts. Paul continued in that capacity during Francis X. Bellotti's term.

Over the years, Mr. Good received numerous accolades and honors, among them, awards from the Massachusetts Law Review, from the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission and earned the YBA Special Service award.

He is survived by his beloved wife Mary of 56 years, his children Ellen of Branford CT, Anne of Newburyport, Paul of Somerville and his children Jennifer and Joshua, Marylinda Krikorian of Haverhill and her daughter Allison, Thomas of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, his wife Rhonda and children Thomas, Conor and Jack and Gretchen Maguire of West Newbury and her daughter Madison, his brother Matthew Good and wife Claire of Warwick, RI, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St., READING Monday at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Paul’s life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading, at 10:30am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Sunday, 2-6pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
