Obituary

Lisa M. (Anderson) Camp, 58, of Medway, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 29, 2024 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Keith A. Camp for the past 23 years. Together Lisa and Keith built a life together of partnership, trust, love and respect. Her loss is felt deeply.

Born in New Bedford on December 11, 1965, she was the daughter of the late David Wade and Anne Marie (Suchy) Anderson of Marion, Massachusetts.

Lisa was a resident of Medway for the past 5 years and formerly resided in Westport. She grew up in Marion, graduated from Bishop Stang High School in Dartmouth, and attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Lisa operated her own housekeeping business for many years. More recently, Lisa worked alongside her daughter to build a family business centered around their mutual love of animals.

A devoted Christian, Lisa’s love for God was joyful and expansive beyond the four walls of any church building. Her faith was an anchor in her life. Lisa would not hesitate to share God's word and to pray for anyone that needed support. She was faithful and devoted in all aspects of her life.

Lisa exuded love, compassion and a nurturing kindness to everyone she met. A graceful, poised presence, she was consistently a shoulder for her family and friends to lean on and always offered an ear to listen. Lisa was and continues to live on in everyone she loved as an example of resilience and strength in the face of challenge. She comforted her loved ones by encouraging them to take things one day, sometimes even one minute at a time, and to take care of oneself.

She gave the best advice steeped in love and understanding. Lisa will be so missed for all of these reasons and more.

Lisa loved nature, flowers, gardening, spring weather, coffee and all living creatures big and small. She found beauty in the weeds and optimism in the rain. She enjoyed the simplicity of life.

Not requiring much to make her happy- a ride in the car, sun on her face, listening to the waves at the beach, the quiet forest, or a farmers market. She also had many fond memories of her childhood including spending time at the Silvershell Beach, swimming, sunbathing and sailing her sunfish.

Lisa's most cherished titles were wife, mother and nana. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and having everyone in one place together. Lisa made the most memorable holidays for her family, putting so much time and meticulous effort into the food, special games, decorations, and thoughtful gifts. These special memories will live on.

In addition to her husband Keith, Lisa is survived by her four children. She became a mother early in life and truly dedicated all aspects of her life to her children. Elizabeth Eldridge and her husband Andrew of Somerville; Laura Rymer of Medway; Caleb Boardman of New Bedford; and Matthew Lawrence of Medway; and eight bright and adventurous grandchildren, Elijah,
Cayden, Ella, Anderson, Chase, Emerson, Halle and Ethan. They made their nana so proud.

She is also survived by her sister Ruth Derosier of Acushnet, her brother David Anderson of Mattapoisett, and many nieces and nephews.

Collectively, her family is immensely saddened to lose such a special and loving wife, mom and nana. Feeling simply that their time together was cut far too short.

Lisa’s funeral services will be held privately at the request of her family.

In lieu of flowers, if you’re looking to show your support, Lisa’s children request that donations be made in her memory to her husband Keith Camp to offset unexpected funeral costs and to provide him with time to grieve such an immeasurable loss. https://everloved.com/life-of/lisa-m-camp/
