Obituary

Worcester - John W. Jakubiak, 56, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was also known to many as “Yellow man” and spent the last 47 years by the side of his devoted wife, Vivian A. Walley. He is also survived by his seven children: Corey Jakubiak of Seattle, WA, Jamal Walley, Cyrus Walley, Kaila Laythe, and Shawna Walley, all of Worcester, Jasimine Walley of Oregon, and Mariah Walley of Fitchburg. He leaves his sister, Taiwana Jakubiak, of Worcester, He also leaves behind four brothers: Robert Jakubiak of Rindge, NH, James Jakubiak, Sylvester Jakubiak, Bryan Jakubiak of Fitchburg, His step brothers George Rondeau of Florida and Mathrew Rondeau, Corey Rondeau of Worcester and Also his Step sisters Tomeeka Clemons of Ohio, Marcella Rondeau, Ebonie Clemons and Lashana Fulton of Worcester and Heather Rondeau of Southbridge. He also leaves behind his best friends Mehdi, Chris, Abbas and Manooch, as well as his mother-in-law Mary Walley and his predeceased father-in-law Fred Walley. John was also a cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren, and he leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Born in Cranston, RI, John was the son of the late Shirley A. (Christanko) Jakubiak and His biological father Eugene Hazard and step father Sylvester Clemons. He dedicated many years of his life to the construction industry, where he was admired for his vast knowledge and skill in multiple trades.

John had a deep affection for animals and was known for welcoming stray animals into his home. He had a passion for building and was always engaged in hands-on projects. John had a knack for scratch tickets and found immense joy in spending time with his family.
