WORCESTER-Michael J. “Mickey” Buzulis, Sr., 86 of 39B First Street, died Thursday, August 22nd in UMass-Memorial Healthcare, Memorial Campus. He leaves his wife of 59 years Pauline M. (Denesha) Buzulis, his son Michael J. Buzulis, III. and his wife Sheila both of Millbury, a sister Rita Maciejka of Worcester, 2 grandchildren, Sheila and Todd M. Buzulis both of Millbury. A sister Helen Wright of Mason City, Iowa died last year.
He was born in Worcester the son of Michael J. and Mary A. (O’Laughlin) Buzulis and had lived here all his life. Mr. Buzulis attended Commerce High School. He had worked in the maintenance department for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority until he retired in 1970. Mr. Buzulis was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish and the 39er’s Club at Coes Pond Village.
The funeral will be Monday, August 26th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday, August 25th from 4:00 until 8:00 PM.
