Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, aunt, and daughter, Noreen Doris Banks, on March 27, 2024, at the age of 64 due to advanced COPD. Noreen was born on July 28, 1959, in Springfield, MA, to Marguerite and Roland Perreault. She grew up in New England alongside her siblings and received her diploma from West Springfield High School. Noreen was a loving sister and friend, always willing to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. Her sweet, funny personality and tender heart made her a favorite among all who knew her. She had a passion for comedy, stage plays, professional tennis, and old-time television shows. She particularly loved lilacs in May, and we will always think of her when we see them. She loved taking her daughter to Prescott Park in Portsmouth, NH when she was young to feed the birds and look at the gardens. May she rest in peace among the flowers. Despite facing many challenges in her life, Noreen remained resilient and persevered through it all. She was a fighter till the end, and her unwavering love for her daughter and faith in God was an inspiration to us all. Noreen is survived by her daughter Megan Leah Banks, her mother, Marguerite Perreault, her siblings Catherine Perreault, Michel Perreault, Steven and his wife Katy Perreault, Patti and her husband Michael Miller, Laura and her husband Mark Salamon, her nieces and nephews Ryan, Jacqueline, Brittany, Nicholas, Sean, Tessa, Beau and Kelly, and a host of other relatives and friends. We will miss her dearly, but take comfort in the fact that she is now in a better place, free from pain and suffering. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Her life will be celebrated in a church service at Mary Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Blvd, Springfield, MA, 01104 on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, where Noreen received care as a child. To leave her family a condolence message please visit www.stpierrephaneuf.com
