Robert E. Zerkle

Robert E. Zerkle peacefully passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 in Anderson, Indiana at the age of 97.
He was born on July 14, 1926 in Anderson, Indiana to Robert and Josephine Zerkle.
He is survived by his four children – Cathy (Steve) Tolbert, John (Carla) Zerkle, Nancy (Collet) Varner, and Susan (Jerry) Miller and by his wife, Frances Zerkle and her sons Mike and Jeff, and daughter Kim. He was very proud of his 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Marian (Egly) Zerkle.
Bob lived most of his life in Anderson, Indiana. He is a proud veteran of the US Air Force. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1944 and from Purdue University in 1951 and remained an avid Purdue fan. He spent his career at Delco Remy. Bob loved getting together with his family and friends. He was an active participant at South Meridian Church of God where he will be remembered by many friends.

Visitation will be at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service on Friday, March 29, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at South Meridian Church of God on Saturday, March 30, at 11:00 a.m.
There will be a private interment.
Memorial contributions may be given to South Meridian Church of God.
