Obituary

Robert Huey "Bob" Fordham, 88, of Lenox passed away Saturday, September 20, 2003, at his residence. His funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2003, at Union Grove Church of God in Eldorado with the Rev. Jesse Ogden and the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Mr. Fordham was laid to rest at Eldorado Baptist Church Cemetery.

Stevie Matthews, Scott Burgess, Bobby Fordham, Lance Golden, Jason Golden and Harmon Tawzer served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Taylor Rooks, Parker Denny, H. C. Medford, Bob Burdette, Harris Lee Crumley, Lee Ball, Pleamon Golden, Bobby Hinson, Clifford Dominque, Leonard Crumley, Comer Crumley, L. A. Crumley, B. S. Crumley, Henry Crumley Jr., Casey Denny and Michael Denny.

Born June 20, 1915, in Heflin (Cleburne County), Alabama, Mr. Fordham was the son of the late James McGee "Jim" Fordham and Tinie F. Crumley Fordham. He was also preceded in dae4th by two brothers, Grady L. Fordham and Earl Fordham; one sister, Pearl Gray; one grandson, Chris Turnmire; and one great-grandson, William Marchant, Jr. He was a retired farmer and businessman; and he was a member of Union Grove Church of God in Eldorado. He had lived in Lenox for 86 years.

Mr. Fordham is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, James L. "Jesse" and Carolyn Fordham of Kennesaw, Charles R. and Carol Fordham of Macon and Michael "Mike" and Tammy Fordham of Eldorado; three daughter and sons-in-law, Linda Ann and Bill Turnmire, Donna P and Steve Matthews and Mary Lynn and Wayne Rooks, all of Eldorado; one brother, Roy B. Fordham of Jackson Gap, Alabama; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
