Thelma King Davis, 87, of Alapaha passed away Monday, January 13, 2003, at Beverly Health Care in Tifton. Her funeral service was held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Mike Gibbs officiating. Mrs. Davis was laid to rest at Alapaha Cemetery.
Born October 9, 1915, in Berrien County, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Simmie King and Minnie McMillan King. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie B. Davis; one son, Gilbert Wayne Davis, Sr.; and four brothers, Lewis King, Wilson King, Curtis King and Leroy King. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alapaha.
Mrs. Davis is survived by one sister, Alma King Connell of Nashville; one grandson, Gilbert Wayne Davis, Jr. of Tifton; and one great-grandson, Matthew Davis of Tifton.
