Grace Baker Corson, 86, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2003, at Tift Health Care. A graveside funeral service was held for Mrs. Corson at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2003, at Lenox Cemetery, where she was laid to rest. The Rev. John S. Gibbs, Sr. officiated.
Born May 27, 1916, in Cook County, Mrs. Corson was the daughter of the late Harmon Franklin Baker and Laney Lou Lawson Baker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar "Al" Corson; three brothers; and five sisters. She was a homemaker; and she was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Corson is survived by several nieces and nephews including, Bill Payne of Sylvester and Frances Baker McBrayer of Cook County.
