Ronnie Wayne Chappell, 49, of Tifton passed away Monday, October 13, 2003, at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2003, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. John S. Gibbs, Sr. officiating. Mr. Chappell was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Chappell's friends served as pallbearers.
Born March 25, 1954, in Coweta County, Mr. Chappell was the son of Lillian Elsie Conner Chappell and the late Robert M. Chappell. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one brother. He was a self-employed painter; and he was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Chappell is survived by his wife, Nancy Doman Chappell of Tifton; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mark and Gail Barnard of Tifton and Jamie Chappell of Senoia; four daughters and one son-in-law, Brandie Chappell and Monica and Tim Branch, all of Tifton and Paula Chappell Hamby and April Chappell, both of Senoia; one brother, Richard Chappell of Senoia; and seven grandchildren.
