Albert Benjamin Casey, 79, of Adel passed away Monday, February 3, 2003, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville. A graveside funeral service was held for Mr. Casey at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he was laid to rest. The Rev. Harris Whitman officiated.
Born September 17, 1923, in Murray County, Mr. Casey was the son of the late Marvin C. Casey and Mary Nation Casey. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lee Dotson Casey, who passed away in 1990 and one brother. Before retiring, he was a machine operator for the Georgia Department of Transportation; and he was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Casey is survived by two sisters, Mavie Davis of Jacksonville, Florida and Minnie Pearl Varnadoe of Tifton; a sister-in-law, Doris Casey of Tifton; several nieces and nephews; and his good friends and their children, Ina Morey of Adel, Faye May and family, Shirley Purvis and family, Kenny Morey and family, Jerry Morey and family and Donna Pate and family.
