Obituary

PARSONSFIELD- Floyd “Rit” Richard Bubar, age 69, of Parsonsfield, Maine, passed away on March 22, 2024, at Maine Medical Center after a courageous battle with End Stage Renal Disease, along with other health issues.
He was born in Sanford, Maine on January 8th, 1955, a son of the late Floyd Bubar and Florence M. (Gaudette) Bubar. He attended school at Marshwood High School in South Berwick. He enlisted in the Army in ‘76-‘77 and was stationed in Fort Dix, New Jersey. After, he returned back to his home town of Parsonsfield, Maine. He worked as a well driller for Yankee Well Drilling in Waterboro, as well as a Mechanic. Floyd was also employed at CIA in Limerick, for a period of time in 1998.
Floyd enjoyed yard sales, riding his motorcycle with his dog; Collie, working on cars, scrapping metal, spending time outside, and puttering around the yard. Above all, Floyd loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his selfless spirit, unique sense of humor, patience, and the unconditional love he had for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by a brother; Henry Bubar, sisters; Ruby Lynn, Lorraine LaPanne, and Shirley Baker, his daughter in law; Donna Zahn, nephew; John H. Bubar, and great nephew; Shohn Bubar.
Floyd is survived by his sister Wanda Mello and husband Norman Mello Jr of Rhode Island, John Bubar and wife Kathy Bubar of Parsonsfield, and Michael Bubar of Princeton. He is also survived by his caretaker/ex wife Florence Michaud of Parsonsfield, his dog; Blackie, 2 daughters; Jennifer Monroe of Waterboro and Crystal Zahn of Old Orchard, 2 sons; Floyd Bubar and wife Tammy of Buxton, and John J. Bubar of Parsonsfield, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Floyd’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Fresenius Kidney Care Casco Bay, 1 Chabot Street Westbrook Maine, 04092.
