Lola Alfieri (Capone) of Somerville passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on March 20, 2024. She was 96 years old. Lola was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Alfieri. Born in Serra di Pratola, Avellino, Italy, she was the cherished daughter of the late Rosealba (Chiumiento) and Carmine Capone.
Lola was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She put her family first above all else.
Lola was the devoted mother of MaryAnn “Nina” DiRamio and her husband Luigi of Medford and Robert Alfieri and his wife Laura of Reading. She was the adored grandmother of Maria, Cristina, Daniela and her husband Giuseppe Stuto, Christian and Alex. Lola was the dear sister of Carmela and her husband, Paolo Iandiorio of NJ and she was predeceased by her siblings Irene, Antonio, Sabato and Modestino. She was also survived by her sister-in-laws Maria and Lina Capone and many nieces and nephews.
Lola’s funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford on Monday, March 25, at 9AM, followed by a funeral mass to be held in St. Joseph Church 118 High St. Medford, MA, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 24, from 4-8PM.
