Mandy Lucille Whaley Balderas, 44, of Tifton passed away Friday, September 19, 2003, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2003, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Dean McKinney officiating. Mrs. Balderas was laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Balderas' friends served as pallbearers.
Born May 31, 1959, in Worth County, Mrs. Balderas was the daughter of Mandy Blair Whaley of Tifton and the late Edward McConnell, Sr. She was a registered nurse at the Tift County Health Department; and she was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Tifton.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Balderas is survived by her husband, Juan Balderas of Tifton; two daughters, Rachael Elizabeth Balderas and Rayne Daniel Balderas, both of Tifton; three brothers, Edward McConnell, Jr. of Norman Park and Roy David Whaley and Jessie Lee Whaley, both of Tifton; and four sisters, Minnie Stephens of Coleman, Florida and Irene Whaley Arellano, Kathy Whaley and Virginia Whaley Pineda, all of Tifton.
