Peggy Jean Watson Walker, 58, of Tifton passed away Thursday, August 5, 2004, at her residence. Her funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2004, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Mrs. Walker was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Charles Mitchell, Carol Miller, Chris Sikes, Robert Averitt, Mike Tucker and Tommy Nash served as pallbearers.
Born October 10, 1945, in Tift County, Mrs. Walker was the daughter of Mamie Dillard Watson of Ocilla and the late Roy Watson. She was also preceded in death by one son and one daughter. She was a homemaker; and she was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband, Glen Walker of Tifton; two brothers, Dale Watson of Ocilla and Donald Watson of Fitzgerald; five sisters, Dwinnon Sikes and Shirley Averitt, both of Alapaha, Ernestine Cosper of Tifton, Vicky Tucker of Pensacola, Florida and Sue Mitchell of Hartsville, South Carolina; and a special niece, Haley Peters.
