TARPEY, Maureen K. (McGuire) of Dedham, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024, at the age of 89.
Beloved wife of the late Francis Tarpey. Devoted mother of Laura Timmins and husband Thomas of Dedham, Francis Tarpey and wife Dianne of N. Grafton, Kathleen Merrigan and husband Michael of Walpole, Paul Tarpey and wife Kathy of Melrose, and Lisa Sampson and husband Dave of Waltham. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Brother of William McGuire of Braintree and the late Judy Mitchell of Florida.
Maureen will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family and her vibrant personality.
In her spare time Maureen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, hosting pool parties, St. Paddy’s Day dinners, going to Atlantic City and sitting on the beach in York, Maine. She was known for her quick wit, warm smile, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Maureen’s legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham on Monday, March 18 from 4-7pm. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday, March 19 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anne’s Church, Readville at 10:30am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
